| | Swiss-based professional services firm Consulteer chose Porto for its next technology centre in Europe. With its authentic, hip atmosphere, mild weather, unparalleled food and wine scene, and booming economy, it is a rising star among travellers and investors”.

| EIT Health InnoStars opens a branch in Portugal

| | The European health innovation network, co-funded by the European Union, opened a branch office at the Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) premises in Coimbra. More than 30 Portuguese start-ups have received support from EIT Health: nearly 350 million euros in external funding and nearly 10 million euros in grants.

| NTT DATA opens innovation hub in Óbidos

| | NTT DATA Portugal just established its 8th hub in the country, this time in the city of Óbidos, north of Lisbon. This hub will focus on Experience Design and take advantage of the creative economy of the region. The move follows the company’s creation of another seven innovation hubs already up and running in Porto, Braga, Castelo Branco, Coimbra and Évora.

| | From 1-4 November, Lisbon hosted the Web Summit for the 7th time. More than 71,000 participants from 160 countries attended this year’s edition, in what is considered Europe’s largest tech conference. The key talking points at this year’s edition included NFT’s and Cryptocurrency, Shared Mobility, Metaverse and AI.
This event also provided a unique opportunity to showcase the tech creativity of Portuguese talent in diverse areas such as MedTech & Pharma, Fintech, Digitalization, AI, among others.
