CS Wind expands operations in Portugal
 
South Korean CS Wind, the world's largest producer of wind towers, will invest 100 million euros in its newly bought offshore wind factory in Aveiro. Currently with a team of 500 employees, the company wants to double its Portuguese workforce to reach 1,000 people and quintuple its subsidiary's turnover to 400 million euros in 2025.

The Mangualde Production Center will become the first assembly plant in Portugal to produce large series fully battery electric compact vans for Citroën, Fiat, Opel and Peugeot by 2025. Besides updating its facilities and production processes, the Mangualde plant also completed the second phase of its solar energy park, which will provide up to 31% of the plant’s annual electricity needs.

Airbus GBS inaugurates new facilities in Lisbon
 
The new facilities of Airbus Global Business Services, in Lisbon, will welcome around 900 employees by the end of the year, anticipating by two years the recruitment target the company had planned for 2025.
"The Airbus team in Portugal currently has more than 500 workers from 36 different nationalities, who support 16 different roles in global operations, supporting its Airbus Commercial Aircraft, Airbus Helicopters, and Airbus Defense and Space divisions," the company said in a statement.

The University of Minho, in the region of Braga, is creating a new hub for Transportation and Mobility Research (TMob-Hub), bringing together the skills of seven different centres dedicated to this field. The TMob-Hub will cover all mobility segments, including road, rail, air, metro, and maritime and inland waterways, as well as their interaction. The research hub will cooperate with leading national transportation actors and international partners.
